A Newport home owner asked duPont Designs to give their kitchen a new look. They were specific about the wood color and that they wanted something different.
Here are some of the before and after photos.
The kitchen had well built cabinets with melamine faces and oak trim. We kept the cabinets boxes and built everything else to fit. The kitchen received a new Anderson cherry bay window and all new cherry raised panel doors and drawer fronts. We pulled the oak boards from the tops of the cabinets and trimmed them out with custom made cherry crown molding. All of the surfaces were pre-finished in a professional finishing shop, eliminating the need to varnish inside the house.
